Do we need 'Birthday Sex' wine in our lives?

Brad & Angelina, Kylie, Francis Ford Coppola, Gary Barlow, Philip Schofield, Gordon Ramsay to name but a few all have their own tipples.....but is it a genuine wine love, or is it another asset in their ever burgeoning wealth?

The latest addition to this is the R&B star Jeremih launches ‘Birthday Sex’ wine.......he's teamed up with Napa Valley winemaker Russell Bevan and music company LiveOne to launch a Chardonnay brand named 'Birthday Sex'.

The wine launch, inspired by Jeremih’s debut hit single also named Birthday Sex, coincided with Jeremih’s birthday on 17 July as well as his intercontinental tour alongside 50 Cent. During the tour, Jeremih has revealed that he plans to personally introduce the new wine on stage at select cities. His interest in Chardonnay is said to have followed him spending time with winemaker Russell Bevan of Napa Valley where Bevan consulted Jeremih on creating the wine and educated him on the process of winemaking.

He explained: “My goal with this project was to bottle up the feeling of celebration and anticipation like in my song ‘Birthday Sex.’ Just as I make music that resonates with my audience, thanks to LiveOne and Russell Bevan, I now have the opportunity to share a different kind of experience through every bottle of Birthday Sex wine.”

LiveOne are building out their licensing division to strengthen their artist and industry relationships. Read in to this what you want, they have plans for more celebrity backed products.

I used to think this was a bad thing, but surely anything that brings interest to wine is a good thing right????? More people to love wine and specifically in this case, reviving the love for Chardonnay is even better right???
